The position, located in the Professional Services area, offers you the opportunity to capitalize upon your existing business expertise in portfolio management and/or fund accounting as well as
your business process skills, enabling you to become an expert in the distinct, challenging and fast-moving world of fund of hedge funds.
Your responsibilities will include:
. Identification of user requirements by working with a number of key individuals from both the internal and external business partners and IT departments, thus taking high-level business requirements through to detailed functional specifications.
. Understanding the business and IT processes in order to be heavily involved in product functionality development.
. Working in collaboration, regardless of team or functional boundaries, to achieve aims.
. Communicating relevant information proactively to and from colleagues
. Proactively expanding your knowledge of processes and applications from other team members and the business.
. Using your knowledge and experience to recommend improvements. Be prepared to question and challenge constructively, when methods appear outmoded or ineffective.
. Liaison with external software implementation partners.
In order to secure this position, candidates should have the following background:
. A strong and established background of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Support Engineer within the financial (investment) industry.
. Proven knowledge of portfolio management and/or portfolio accounting and/or fund operations
. Education to Degree level or higher.
. CFA or CAIA qualification preferred
. Proven experience with IT tools and technologies and expert level MS Office skills.
. Excellent problem solving abilities, enabling you to provide efficient and quality driven solutions.
. Strong communication skills, in English and ideally German or French.
. Flexibility to travel in accordance with the needs of the various projects (up to 75% travel throughout Europe and potentially US).
. Experience in the alternative investment industry would be a strong asset.
